Outdated Wiring
If your home, business or building was wired before 1960 you need to be careful. Better building materials, such as plastic/rubber blends, have since been invented, which have revolutionized the electrical industry. As a Wisconsin building owner you should be aware of these new advancements in wire insulators, they are safer and more reliable than the wires installed before the mid 1960's.

All wiring since the 1960's has a rubber/plastic insulation, which is still working fine today. But many of the houses in Wisconsin were wired before then and use the outdated knob and tube wiring method with the cloth covered wire. Many studies have shown the older cloth wiring insulation breaks down quickly when exposed to heat and the elements and is no longer a safe choice when wiring a home, it is to dangerous.
If your Wisconsin home was wired before the mid 1960's its wires may still be old and may need to be replaced. If you are unsure and would like a recommendation please call us today we are residential electrical experts.

What Are K-Electric Customers' Saying?
I hired KELECTRIC to re-wire my entire house when I bought it a year ago. They did such a good job that KELECTRIC is the only electrical service company I will use. So far I have had them install new 200 amp service to the house, all new lights, plugs and fixtures, CAT5, and cable to all rooms in the house. Wireless and hardline internet, and most impressive - upgraded all the electric in my boat house and workshop.
